The process of moving hands in various directions is called Malkriya. It is of seven types : a. Vishnumal—because there is only one Vishnu b. Jeevmal—Jeev (life) is of two numbers, Jeevatma (Soul) Parmatma (God) c. Gunmal—Gun (quality) are three; Sata, Raja and Tama d. Yugmal—Yug (ages) are four; Satyug, Tretayug, Dwapar and Kaliyug. e. Tatvamal—Tatva (elements) are five; Jal (water) Tej (fire), Vayu (air), Prithvi (earth) and Akash (sky) f. Ritumal—Ritu (seasons) are six; Vasant (spring), Greeshma (summer), Varsha (rains), Sharad (winter), Hemant (autumn), shishir (extreme cold) g. Lohnal—Loks (worlds) are seven; Bhuh, Bhuvah, Swah, Mahh, Janah, Tapah and Satya Lok.
