When the dancer in the course of dance acts out someone else's actions, it is called' Abhinaya' e.g. Acting out the emotions/actions of Yashoda in feeding curd to Krishna in 'Makhan Leela'. In 'Natyashastra' of Bharat four types of acting are 'described:

 	

 	Angik—through limbs
 	Vachik—through speech
 	Aharya—through dress or costume
 	Satvik—through expressions
